When people enter your life and sometimes you know right away that it was meant to be, they are there to serve some sort of purpose, just love you, teach you a lesson, or to help you figure out who you are or who you want to become. These people could be your roommate, neighbor (I have the best neighbors right now… amazing people and now great friends), co-worker, longest friend, lover, or even a complete stranger but when you lock eyes with them, you know at that very moment that they will affect your life in some profound way.
Some people come and go very quickly. Met this couple at Pete’s the other night, the husband gave me some very wise advise. He awakened me to a new understanding with his passing wisdom. If I am smart I will listen to him. I will probably never see them again. Some people move our souls to dance, make us smile, or just feel good about ourselves again. Some people stay a while and leave footprints in our hearts but for a time they make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon. We are all of a sudden different, never to be the same again.
Yep, sometimes you get hurt…. things happen. At the time what seems unbelievable, horrible, painful, and unfair, will slowly pass. After a time, you begin to reflect you find that you discover something new about yourself. You have great perseverance, strength, willpower, heart and even potential. If you believe that everything happens for a reason, that nothing happens by chance or luck, it somehow makes it easier. These events, whatever they may be… test the limits of your soul and without them small tests, life would be pointless. You would never learn new things about life. These people and experiences help you find yourself.
So in you journey, pay attention! Appreciate every moment and person that enters your life. Be outgoing and assertive(I have this one down). Talk to people, introduce yourself and actually listen. Let yourself love. Believe in yourself, if you don’t; it will be hard for others to.
Write your own story and live it with no regrets, no what if’s!
“Never Regret anything, because at the time, it was exactly what you wanted”.
